Instructions for Reading and Sharing on the ETM-group

1) The ETM-group stands for the Electronic Travelers’ Meeting.

2) It is a Google Group.

3) You can visit the ETM-Group-Page by clicking the following Link/Address: http://groups.google.com/group/etm-group?hl=en

4) To enjoy the full range of activities available from the Group-Page, such as looking at all the membership Rolls and Profiles and  posts dating back to October 2007, you should use a Google Account and sign in using your Name and Password from that account.  Otherwise you may still visit there but you will enjoy fewer “privileges”.

5) Lead-Share: The group Format is that a Volunteer writes a Lead-Share on Sunday as follows:

A)  “Welcome to the ETM-group meeting for the week of ( ___date___ ) . My name is  ( ___X___ ) and I’m an alcoholic. Here is the preamble of AA:”

B) Copy and Paste the Preamble into your Post at this point.

Alcoholics anonymous is a Fellowship of  men women who share their experience strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.

AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics  organization or institution, does not wish to engage in any controversy,  neither  endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help others to achieve sobriety.

C) “ I have chosen  ( ____ my-topic_____ ) for our Topic this week.”

D) Write your share on this topic.

E) Sign the share however you wish.

F) Send an e-mail with the Subject-Line of (____ my-topic____) addressed to:
etm-group@googlegroups.com

G) This Subject-Line is the basis for Google’s sorting of our emails by Topic each week. Please try to be sure your email has as its Subject-Line the Topic you are writing about.

6)Comments:  Members have all week to write a Return-Comment to the Lead Share.

7) To send your Comment, please just hit REPLY and write (or paste something  you wrote on your Word-Processor)  into your e-mail program as a  Reply to the Lead Share. This keeps the Subject-Line as re: [ETM-group] (____ my-topic____).
